Hello All,
I used to fly the Canberra B(i)8 with 16 Squadron RAF Laarbruch in Germany in the late 1960s early 1970s. I magine my delight when I read about the Airfix 1/48 scale Canberra kits due out this year and my disappointment today when Airfix told me there wasn't enough interest so it was likely to be cancelled! I've searched for the B(i)8 kit, recognised by the look alike to the PR9 with the Hunter offset canopy and not the normal Canberra 'bubble' canopy-but to no avail. Any ideas? If a clever modeller could fashion a proper offset B(i)8 canopy from the Andy Pack 1/48 Canberra kits I'd pay of course. Help please

Hello Oxford,

Can't really help you with the 1/48 scale kit of the Mark 8, but I am planning to build a few 1/72 kits for sale over the coming months. I am not the world's best modeller, but if you are interested, they will have custom paint jobs and decals to make them a little more than out of the box Frog kits. I've done one recently (88 Sqn) to give you an idea. VX185 is next. You can see the 88 sqn bird here:

LATEST UPDATE: I have now have the Mark 8 prototype VX185 for sale here: (http://cgi.ebay.com/Canberra-B-I-8-VX185-BUILT-1-72-scale-kit_W0QQitemZ270008768058QQihZ017QQcategoryZ1189QQ rdZ1QQcmdZViewItem )
